We have had some great new designers join us in our online shop so we thought we would share them with you. From prints to lights to watches and cards!
Bea Roberts works in mixed media, creating folksy style artwork which has a rough, primitive, naivety. Working intuitively and spontaneously she uses collagraph printing techniques, brushes and sticks, to create my whimsical paintings and drawings which are full of colour and humour.
Buckle and Cog is a handmade watch company. They use unusual fabrics to create one-of-a-kind watches. Using changeable fabric straps and a variety of colourful faces, you can create something truly special.
BÜRK Lighting design and hand make jar lights. Based in Nottingham's Creative Quarter all our lights come custom made allowing you to create a true personal feature for your home.
Rubyblue Design is a Designer & Letterpress Printer based in a little studio in the Nottinghamshire countryside. Printing on an antique press her approach to design is much less traditional. She is inspired by the unexpected and loves to keep it simple - less is more beautiful!

Yesterday we braved the rain and joined creative organisations from across Nottingham to mark the launch the BBC Get Creative Campaign.
Each organisation took over a pod on the 'Nottingham Wheel' and filled it with creative activities. The aim of the event was to celebrate and draw attention to the great diversity and creativity in the city.
Get Creative is a year-long celebration of the world-class arts, culture and creativity that happens every day across the UK.
We planned to turn our pod in to a mini pop up shop but we didn't realise how open the the elements the pods are so we just had fun with creative products! Including Zeus Labels Stag Head and Bluebird's Alred Owl.
The lovely Hannah Stevens who is also one third of Bird in Borrowed Feathers took some great shots while we were on the wheel.
Huge thank you to Hannah Stevens, Robert Walpole and Becky Kennedy for coming along to represent Handmade Nottingham!
