The Ficus (more commonly known as the Rubber Tree) has glossy, thick foliage that is dark green, appearing almost black.
Ficus, more commonly known as Rubber Trees like lots of filtered sun - but be careful not to burn the leaves, too much bright, direct sun can cause the leaves to crisp.
Water when the top few centimetres of soil are completely dry, a good way to test this is to insert your finger into the soil; if it is clean then the plant needs to be watered, if the soil is still damp and sticks to your finger, do not water.
Over watering and cold temperatures can cause this plant to shed it's leaves.
Use a well draining potting mix - adding perlite to your soil can help with this.
Please ensure that your pot has drainage holes, if you are using a decorative pot without drainage, I recommend placing the plastic pot inside so that it can be removed to be watered as required.
